"Building a Better Community Through Environmental Education, Volunteerism, and Stewardship"
All individuals involved in the management and restoration of shrub steppe and rangelands in the Columbia Basin, including private lands are invited to attend. The 1.5 days of technical sessions, an evening social and poster session, and an all day field tour will focus on the following topics:
-The latest research and application of plant bio-control agents in Eastern Washington, including results of field trials with new agents attacking cheatgrass.-Lessons learned from shrub steppe and rangeland restoration and invasive plant management efforts throughout the Columbia Basin.
-Analysis of short and longterm fire effects and lessons learned from post-fire rehabilitation efforts on Hanford Reach National Monument
