Community Garden Work Days
Confluence Community Action Network - CCAN is facilitating the construction community gardens throughout the area. Garden coordinators are needed at each site to be the contact point for volunteer workdays, help with materials management, and maintain paperwork on plot usage.
The Richland site is at McMurray Park, behind Safeway in N. Richland.
The Kennewick site is at 5405 West Metaline Avenue at Advanced Construction Services.
The Pasco site (still in planning) is at the Ben-Franklin Transit center at 22nd & Sylvester.
Sites are available in Finley and Benton City at people's homes - information provided on request.
We'll also need donations of fencing, irrigation materials, 2x6's to build beds, compost/mulch and tools.
Volunteer workdays will be arranged on an as-needed basis until sites are built and gardeners take "ownership".
